First version with external switches. the design itself is completely different from later versions with two cascaded Szisklai silicon / germaium pair transistor stages. Switches A and B adjust gain and Switch C adjust bias of the second transistor pair. The original had Dale resistors which explains the odd values but use closest common values. I haven't heard a V1 Haunting Mids, but I built it up today. I was assuming it would have some similarities to the other version (a la Big Muff), but my build is very gated (not in a good way). I haven't had a chance to compare the layout to the schematic yet to double check.
