You can tag this one. Build it just because it was missing in my EQD collection. No OC139, so I used BSX20, a silicon low power tr. Sounds great. Cheers!
New paint on the house... Congratulations! A small question: would it be to painful to make a layout of Bows with PNP instead of NPN?... Yeah, a positive ground one. I´ve tons of germanium PNPs and no NPN's at all.
No. NO need of that. I have outside power for all my positive groud pedals (all those with pnp germanium). So, is just the same circuit but with the PNP instead of NPN.
Yes, I was right. Reversed the electrolits, diode out, and put the PNP in same pinout order as the NPN. Fired first time (with reversed polarity in current, obviously). Now I've got two Bows, both sounds great. Just the PNP is far less noisier. It's the one I'll keep. Thanks again for the layout.

ReplyDeleteCheers! Tagged. Nice to see you doing a verification again!
DeleteFinished this today with an OC139. Sounds great. Thanks once again for doing the layout!
ReplyDeleteGot this one into a 1590A, really nice boost and very useful for tone shaping.

ReplyDeleteYou mean you want one with an onboard voltage inverter?

DeleteI guess I'll have to reverse the two electrolits... I'm I correct?
