It is verified now. Hell of a fight. No J201 neither 2n5089: 2sk117 and MPSA18. It screams beautifully. Mr Gilmour territory (as it claims)? No desappoinment, to say the least. Thanks, mr Fuzzhead!
Try replacing the 100nf (A10-C10) and 4.7nf (A13-C13) caps at the top with smaller values. Some folks recommend 22nf and 2.2nf, respectively. If that's still not bright enough, try replacing the Bright pot with a B50k.

DeleteWhat voltage should I be aiming for with the trimmers? 4.5?
ReplyDeleteYeah, use 4,5v as a starting point and tune it by ear from there.
DeleteWorks good but when I get the fuzz over 8 I get a high pitch squeal.
ReplyDeleteWhat could I do to solve this.
