Okay, so I've built this twice, and it "works", but it just barely gets above unity gain - even with gain and pre-gain maxed. It's also pretty dark - comparing it to the demo videos online it doesn't sound much like the original.
Ok, the top connections of the link and 470k resistor at Q2 needs to be moved: link top connection up one row and top connection of 470k down one row. Updated the layout with these changes.
That did the trick: output is *much* better. Still sounds a little mushy on a neck pickup, but on the bridge it really sounds good and throaty. Tag it!
Wow! I saw demos of this pedal online and thought it seemed underwhelming compared to some of the other pedals by Black Arts. I decided to give it a try so I can box it up with a Ritual. This pedal far exceeded my expectations! It gets loud and heavy...it's pretty great.
I'm thinking about building the Revelation Super Bass and boxing these both up together with a Ritual because "Why Not?" Thanks, Anders!!!
