Is there any point in turning the bass and treble trimpots into external pots are are they very mild set and forget kind of things? I hate the concept of hiding useful controls where you can't get to them.
I've pretty much given up on 1590b, it's not worth the headache. I'd rather go for a 125b with top mounted jacks which ends up taking up less real estate anyway. And yes I've done a 5 pot 1 toggle in a 1590b, never again.
i have not played around a lot with this circuit cause i've been busy with several at the same time, i believe they were not so dramatic but some ppl like 110% control and they can option for ext controls.
yep! just build this, everything works! very heavy distortion that sounds pretty good with bass! very nice surprise! thx for the layout!

ReplyDeleteI think the goal was to make it fit in a smaller box, have you ever tried fitting 5 pots in a 1590b?
