Death by Audio Reverberation Machine

  1. Verified, sounds awesome to me. Tested with a TL0X4 whilst I wait for the original chip to see if it sounds any different.

Added a second footswitch from the Tagboard comments, props to Marcello M for this - unused Pin 5 output from the Brick - 470nf cap (using this on bass, guitar might want smaller value) - 100k trimmer - SPST footswitch - pin 3 of brick. Entirely necessary mod, insta-ambience! Thanks for the layout.

    1. Thanks for this! Tagged. And thanks for your suggested mod.
So what exactly does it doing? is it a feedback/drone mod?

    2. Sorry I missed your reply and realise I didn't mention what it was! - yep a feedback/drone that feeds the unused output back into the input but not in a harsh PT2399 oscillation way, very musical.

    3. You can use a pot on the place of the trimmer and you have a nice decay control. My take on this: (but I am using another layout, but I will try yours ASAP) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQYHW2FhE2Q

  2. I've built the tagboard layout of this one. Used 3K for R22 as I like the bright setting to be BRIGHT. I want to put a jfet bypass switch on this circuit and am hoping that connecting it to the strip between the 10nF cap and pin 5 of the opamp (input buffer) and pin 3 of the brick (reverb signal input) will do the trick. Of course, that means the gain and level will always be active but I'm willing to risk it in order to have reverb trails with this amazing pedal! I will report back here if I pull it off!

  3. Another one of my idiot questions..

I got myself a voltage regulator for this but it looks like a transistor and not like the large one used on the original.

Is the one I have unsuitable?

  4. Sounds like you may have ordered 78L05’s instead. Dunno if the 7805 comes without the heat sink or whatever it is. 78L05’s will come in handy at some point if that’s what you ordered. Check Tayda for cheap parts.

  5. Thank you. I've ordered some with the heatsink
