Is there anything I could use in place of the C100k pots. I don’t have any right now and want to test
You can try 100kB pots but the sweep will be uneven, the most of the action will be at the end of the rotation. Until you get 100kCs you could try 50kB pots for a decent sweep but the range wont be as wide as with the stock pots.
Would c50 work?
Yeah, probably better than 50kB.
Thank you for your help
Used the C50k, it actually sounds pretty good. I may just leave them and box it up. Thanks for all the great layouts.
Has anyone put the clipping diodes on a switch? Or messed with the clipping order?
Maybe you should blow up out of here with it?
what does the trimmer do? is it a buffer or a recovery stage?
Replaces the 10k Bias resistor so you can get an exact amount of voltage to the Drain of the Jfet. I would set it to 4.5v and go from there by ear.
great, thanks.
