You're on a roll, man! I would kill it, but I already have it. Meanwhile I was wondering... knowing you a big Catalinbread fan, how much long will you permit this thing laughing on your back: https://www.pedalpcb.com/docs/Mesmerizer.pdf
Yeah, that one have been laughing behind my back for quite a while. It will be done for sure, but I don't know when...need to find the time to "dive into" the circuit.
I've built Lightspeed and Tomahawk yesterday, I'm in love with both! I'm super stoked to build more of Greer's stuff. Thanks Fuzzhead! I just checked out the schematics for Lightspeed and Southland, they look pretty similar apart from some value changes and added diodes. I'm wondering if you could design one layout to have them both and a switch to choose between, kinda like those multi Rat designs. My electronics knowledge is pretty limited so I don't know if that's entirely possible. But just a thought :)

DeleteIt works
ReplyDeleteThanks! Tagged.
DeleteNice!!! Love quick, low part builds! Before i build this; what does the 100k trim pot control, and would it be worth it to have external?
ReplyDeleteThe trimpot sets the bias for the J FET. I would stick with an internal trimmer for "set and forget".
DeleteGood to know, thanks for responding!

ReplyDeleteYeah, they are close, some minor changes. I'll take a look at it to see if it is possible. But it might take a week or so.
Deletethanks a lot mate, it'd be great if it's possible. I'll be waiting for the good news!
Deletehow does this thing sound? can it do high gain metal? all the youtube videos use single coils and dont really go into high gain settings.
ReplyDeleteI guess I’m a fan of the LM386’s. Sounds dope. Thanks
