    2. @fuzzhead, I've looked at the schematic and there's two 4558s and one 4007. So, two ICs are missing from this layout. Any reason for that?

    3. 4007 chip is omitted since it is for switching and since I always use mechanical true bypass in my pedals it is left out. It has no impact on the audio path. The last 4558 op amp was left out since it serves as a uotput buffer/speaker sim. I tend to leave these things out due to space and the minimal impact on the overall sound.

But I think I add the second 4558 to the layout but it will be a lot taller.

    4. Gotcha. If you make it with the second 4558 call it v2, leave the original. Or you could make that a daughter board?

Do me a favor though, flip the 2n5088 notch/flat spot! For a beginner, they won't realize that the collectors are still on row A and the emitter on row C, but the notch/flat spot should be facing the right not the left.

After that, I can call it verified!

    5. Actually, the CBE labels was wrong way around but orientation of the transistors is correct. Collectors should be connected to row C which is 9v.

And thanks for verifying! Is it a worthy build?

    6. BTW, will add a v2 layout as well..

    7. I'll check when I get home in the next 24hrs, but I' m fairly certain it only worked when I put the collectors on row A.

Yeah, as long as you treat as intended, to go before OD/distortion, it was worth the build, to push OD into more breakup. If you treat it solely as a dirt pedal, it's not worth it.

    8. @fuzzhead Yeah, flip the 2n5088s (see https://imgur.com/gpB53ob). I know the way the schematic has them, but having the emitters on row A didn't work.
