    1. Not at the moment since I couldn't find a schematic for it.:-/

  2. Made it, it's awesome! Great circuit, bit noisy at max gain and can feedback loads, but I don't really go past about half way on the gain and push the input a bit for a bit of hair. Great for 60s classic rock and 90s style alt rock .

  3. The Catalinbread "Blood Donor" is almost identical, but has a much lower noise floor. Would be great to see a layout for that one, too.

  4. All high gain circuits create some noise. You’re over amplifying a passive signal. Unless you add a bias control to gate the effect, it’s going to make noise when you’re not playing. This is basically a silicon tone bender without much gating. Putting it in an enclosure will sometimes help.

  5. Thank you for your answer. I understand that might be some high level of noise but this hiss is too big to my taste. Something is not right. Recently I had the same issue with vemuram Jan ray - overdrive pedal. I spend some trying to find issue but no result

    1. I know, it's also trivial, but still, let's mention it: PSU noise...
      It could also be that...

I recently had this with the fuzzbender, it was totally just noise... a long sustained beep...
I only realized it next morning that the PSU I had used was not the usual good one...

  6. Yeah, I don't know. I have built both circuits and don't have a clear memory of any excessive noise issues. Just giving the tracks a good scraping and cleaning solves many issues. I often set a confusing circuit aside and go back to it when I'm not pulling my hair out. Something may become obvious when you're chillin'. Also, I like to shine a flashlight through the board to see any obvious bridges or weak joints.

  7. shine a flashlight through the board might be an idea. I've never tried this. Thanks for your time

  8. Congratulation, again, for your layout: it is BEAUTIFUL and organic, elegant and LOGICAL -- like most of your layouts :)
I enjoyed reading / following it...

Plus, it is surprisingly compact! (Mirosol's is 17x17, with 9 links... )

I compared it to the schematic shared at FSB....
