Sorry, I could'n't resist. So you can tag this one also. But first please reverse the 100 uF on the layout (it's upside down). For the record, as I don't have the f**** 1M trim (weird stuff, 1 Mega Trim, I did'n't even know such monster exist) I put a 1M pot outside. Very happy with the results. Thanks!
Excellent stuff! Beautiful and simple. I'm a noob so I don't understand why, but it sounds even better at 12v. Has a cleaner high end and doesn't drop perceived volume as much as 9v.
It affects the shape of the tremolo. I don't have an oscilloscope, but it seems like it adjusts the pulse width of the oscillations. Took a bit of time to find a sweet spot, but now that it's set I doubt I'll touch it.

Great!. Fixed the orientation of the cap and tagged it. Cheers!

ReplyDeleteNo, you did'n't. :O)
hehe, now I did it...:o)
DeleteNice, built and working. Could probably use a little boost, but then may need a volume pot.

ReplyDeleteWhat's the trimpot adjusting?

DeleteNice. Thank you
DeleteHow's the switch pop? Every trem I build seems to have a bit of switch pop
Just made this. It works well! No switch pop and the trimpot seems to adjust the volume, I've got it maxed to keep unity gain.
ReplyDeleteThank you 👍👍👍
I have read that upping the value of the three 100nf caps related to q2 will allow for a slower tremolo....does this seem right to you guys?
ReplyDeleteYes, increasing those caps will slow down the LFO. 150-220nF is a good start.
DeleteYes! 220 is good! Much more usable speed range!

DeleteQuestion...if the depth pot was only effective past the halfway point, does that mean 50k would make it effective over the whole sweep? 🤔
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about the 50k, maybe it will cut part of the depth, instead.
DeleteYou could try a linear 100k pot and to see if you like it more than the log.
Good call 👍👍
