this layout works! did't want to build at first look cause just another muff, but then i saw the diodes ( normally 4148/914) and after checking a demo (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jPWbRZsGfRU) i was like ohhh sexyh! so i built it after making a screenshot of the schematic and using the guide to name all the rxx & cxx , checked it against fuzzheads layout and voila! used 1n4007 instead of the 1n4006 since thats what i had and a 150k resistor instead of the 160k resistor ( sw4&5) thanks for the layout fuzzhead!
I built this too. I used a 4002 instead of a 4006, and used a 150k+10k resistor in series instead of a 160k resistor. I really like the sound quality and tonal variability. If I had to choose just one fuzz distortion, this would be it. Thanks fuzzhead!

ReplyDeleteforgot to add that you can build 8 different muffs with this layout and the guide
