  1. I'm only posting a comment to ask Magus what is taking him so long to verify this one? 🤣

    1. i used 82k resistors for the 75k's and thanks fuzzhead!

  3. That was fast!, I’m gonna have to build this one day, see if it stacks up to the real thing?

  4. it's a really good bass fx, like the cab function, but it cannot compare to a real tube amp but that is normal ! its in the same category as the zvex basstortion ?

  6. Hi,
Thanks for the layout, fired up the first try!
One issue that I have is that when I roll the Cab pot clockwise the volume is dramatically reduced, there is still sound coming out, but very low volume.

I rechecked my build vs. schematic, resolder the board to eliminate cold joints, cleaned the rails between the strips for any unwanted jumper, but still the volume drops when I roll the Cab pot.

I think I found an issue, but not fully sure, I believe that the link between K11 --> L11 should change to K11 --> M11, as in the schematics lag 3 on the potentiometer is connecting to C18 (2.2nf cap) and not to the 75K resistor.

    Will appreciate your confirmation.

    Thanks!

  7. Update: replacing between the 75k resistor (L15-L18) and C18 (M16-M18) seems to solve the problem.

Sounds great and again, thanks for the great layout!

    1. i just saw your comment about low volume with the cab pot turned cw. i moved the leg of the 470pF at m15 to L14 just before the leg of the 15k res

    2. Magus appears to be correct, as the leg of the 75k resistor and the 470pf cap intersect at pin 12 of the TL074 on the layout, which is +, as in the schematic.

  8. Appreciate your inputs!

I changed 470pF cap leg from M15 to L14, but still without the replacement between the 75k resistor (L15-L18) and C18 (M16-M18) I experience volume loss.

With the 2 changes above it sounds great without volume loss.

    Thanks.
