Million dollar question time!! Any suggestions for a fuzz that sounds like The Beatles Revolution, DBA Evil Fuzz seems kind of close - what do you think?? Any ideas?
The pedalpcb pastel preamp (jhs crayon) is good for the beatles white album sound. The 424 is way smaller build though. I just built the pastel and I'm not sure it was worth it.
Yea, how do you make a pedal of something that’s not a pedal? Paul said it was one of those moments where they used something in a way that it wasn’t supposed to be used, direct through a duo of overdriven preamps on the main console? But I don’t think a preamp from a cheesy recorder would emulate a full on tube driven hi- fi recording console? Let us know what you come up with.
The Bodysnatchers tone always reminded me of that type of blown out Revolution thing. Apparently the Expandora is responsible there. But the Broadcast and Dr Robert are also capable. Which, I believe you have built.
