That's really interesting - it's like a variation on a Shin Ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz. Not too many of those, I don't think? Or a vague impression of a Maestro FZ1-B. Either way, should sound real rad.
Tag it! This is actually a really nice sounding circuit, a little splatty and nasally in a good way, with somewhat modest gain at output. I used BC548. Thank you Anders
Cool discovery: the tone circuit was sucking up gain, so I took the signal from the volume pot without removing the tone pot and the tone knob still works without the audio going through it. Definitely not a full sweep tone knob, but an improvement over the signal loss in the original circuit. It reminds me of an old Stromberg Carlson amp that has a similar tone circuit.
