I’ve got a problem with the tone trimmer. I’ve used a mpsa18 for q1 and a 2n5088 for q2. I didn’t have any 220n so I used 330n. So I’m going to start there I guess until I get some more parts but I’m confused why the tone pot isn’t reacting at all. The volume, mids, and gain is working and it’s sounding pretty good otherwise.
Try changing out some of the parts you subbed - but wouldn't try to chase this one too far - I had a similar experience with the Blackhawk Morgul boost layout that is on here. The trimmers didn't have the sweep you would expect. It was more like there was one or two spots that sounded slightly different than the others. I'm quite certain this is why they are trimmers in the first place and not external potentiometers. But beyond that - every Blackhawk layout that Anders/Fuzzhead has put up here sounds amazing. Even when the trim pots don't do much.
Tagged!! Great fuzz, better than the Fuzz o))) in my opinion
