goodmorning fuzzhead . i have finish the bogner EXC red gain preamp section layout ....if you are interested i send to you to post it .. my mail is plig88luthier@gmail.com cheers
Tag it with an *..ha ha Used HFE examples on Madbean's page and it is a very tweakable fuzz. But Chaos doesn't live up to the hype only brings about trumpet type sounds when maxed no oscillations. Curious to hear what others are getting.
The Wolf Computer does the same thing and it's caused by the voltage starve. Connect an LED with a current limiting resistor to the chaos pot and ground the LED in bypass (so the LED illuminates when the effect is off) - I can just about guarantee that will stop it.
1) The internal layout of the wiring & pots can lead to some nasty noise. In & out wiring are the usual culprits—open the back and move the wires around to see if that lessens the noise bleed. If not, might be the location of a pot. A Univox UD50 clone I made had the tone pot just above the power filter electro cap, and it whined like dying donkey.
2) Rewire the bypass to ground both the circuit input & output. I've used the lower-right layout from here, and it's saved a few pedals from being scrapped:

Hey guys. Any ideas how to prevent noise bleeding through when this pedal is in bypass? I'm using the skreddy off board wiring. Very strange.

DeleteA couple of options:

Might try the bottom right one myself, cheers Seb.
