Just finished building this one. Can hear it working but the volume is very low. Going to start looking for a solder bridge but I don't think it's that.
Think I found it. The schematic shows the 3.3k resistor out of IC2 going to Pin 3 of IC3. The layout appears to be linking the resistor to Pin 5 of IC3.
Hi there. I don't think the 3,3k resistor are the culprit since each op amp channel is interchangeable i.e. they are totally separated from each other so the pin numbers necessarily don't have to match up with the schematic. However, I found two things that could be the culprit...
Is there a gci onslaught layout out? I suspect it could be a tubescreamer based circuit. But who knows.

ReplyDeleteI think the issue is near the output as my volume pot is doing nothing. The other pots seem to control the volume.

Move Level it to J-29
Add a cut at O-16.
See the updated layout.
Thanks Fuzzhead. I will try that.
DeleteThat worked. You can tag it.
DeleteIt sounds awful but I think that's the desired effect.
Awesome!
