Based on the Green Citrus Matamp amp emulator circuit but it have enough value changes to warrant its own layout. Based on a schematic from Dead End Fx.
I've seen some russian amp emulator schematics that suggest J201´s as a replacement for KP303A´s. Worth a shot? I used 2N5457's in the Green Citrus which is very similar to this and they worked great.
Built this with j201’s and it sounds great, but the notes have a strange decay. It’s kind of odd. Sounds fantastic as you’re playing, but there’s a splatty decay as you let the notes ring out. Could it be the bias? I set the drains at 4.5v, could that be it? Anyone else build this ? Please chime in with your thoughts
Has anyone tried using Russian KP303A's in place of J201's

You can tag this one, built it with pf5102 and it sounds huge!

ReplyDeleteI ended up with 2N5457s in the Green Citrus which this one is based on. With J201s it sounded flubby and broken.
