A silicon Fuzz Face with some tweaks and mods. Note that the BC183s lacks suffixes. The layout has the common CBE pinout which fits A, B and C suffixes but if using BL suffix you'll need to twist the legs since those has BCE oinout.
Hi! You can tag as verified! Built this using BC546C - replaced switch for a B100K pot (adds some more control between the 2 input caps) and used A10K for Bias (leaving pin 1 unconnected) and B1K for fuzz - because it's what I had. It's a nice tweakable fuzz face! Thanks for the layout!
if I had a jumper wire running from F11 to G11 instead of having the SPST switch, would it act as the "Tight" setting or the "Thick" setting? would leaving the switch, and/or a jumper completely off, have the opposite effect?
Thank you kindly. I built my first Vero kit from eBay just over a month ago and loved it (a very basic fuzz) then discovered your site and I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. I'm so grateful for your work. Incredible. Thank you ☺️☺️☺️
Just wanted to add on here... I noticed a bit of noise when I roll off the volume on some guitars. I tried putting in some lower gain 2N3903 transistors, and they really suit this pedal.

Right on! Tagged.
DeleteI'm super excited to have a crack at this.
DeleteThe switch I've purchased is just a two way off/on. Is that right??
Thank you 😊
Yep, you got the right switch there!:-)

DeleteI'm not sure which is which, but I'd recommend going for the switch as both settings are great.
DeleteReason why I ask, is I have the original pedal, and I greatly prefer the Thick setting
DeleteI would make it with the link and if that's not the thick setting, cut the link.
DeleteOmit the switch and move the negative leg of the 2,2uF up one row. Then you'll have a fixed Thick setting.
DeleteThanks so much!
DeleteJust made this. It's absolutely awesome. Thank you so much 🙏
