Hi fuzzhead. After trying it well l found an anomaly in the gain ,due to incorrect positioning of C2-220p, which must go from Q1 (pin3-ic1) to ground, and not to ic1-pin4.Now the gain works correctly. Furthermore, from pedal pcb diagram, the capacitor C103-10 microfarad seem to have reversed polarity. Thanks and best regards.
Thanks for those observations. Updated the layout to but had to shift some things around but connections remains the same. Although polarity of the 10uF cap from -9v to ground makes me a bit nervous...
Hi fuzzhead. Comparing my build with the YOU TUBE digimartnet demo,i noticed difference in the gain selection via the switch. Infact, the Mode sw2 connection must be connected to pin7 of IC1. Now it's identical to demo. The C103-10u capacitor must have the positive to ground.
Yes, you are right. Changed the switch connection. Also flipped the elctrolyctic cap as it should be even though schematic says something else. Thanks for your findings!
Took a look at the schematic once again. Yes, you are right about pin 8 of IC2 needs 18v. However, pin 8 of IC 1 only needs 9v so it is taken from 39ohm connection. Layout updated.
Hi Fuzzhead :in the layout there are no errors, it works perfectly; so it'verified.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is tagged.

DeleteHi fuzzhead. Thanks to you for the layouts.
ReplyDeleteHi fuzzhead. Although it works well,i misured the voltage and i realized that pin8 of IC2 must receive power from pin8 of IC1 and not from 39R and D6.

DeleteHi, how can I found the schematic of this pedal?
ReplyDeleteThank you.
fuzzhead thank you !
Yes! Schematic Please!!!
ReplyDeleteHere is the schematic:

The cap at lower left corner should be flipped. Positive to pin 2, negative to pin 4. (See Madbean's Road Rage for proper charge pump schematic)
DeleteYes, and C103 connecting to pin 5 should be flipped. I noticed it when I was drawing the layout and it made me a bit nervous...so I flipped it.
DeleteHi.. may i get the schematic, the link you gave is dead, thanks.
