  1. You can tag it verified. Sounds gnarly on guitar and bass. I'd reverse tone 1&3 for more treble clockwise/ more bass counter-clockwise.

  2. Are there any substitutes you could recommend for IC 1&2?

    1. IC1 is a fairly hi-fi op amp as it is responsible of the input and eq section. Suitable subs would be NE5532, LM833 or TLE2072.
      IC2 on the other hand shares some similarities with Proco Rat. LM308, LM741 or any other low slew rate op amp will do. For a more hi-fi distortion you could try TL071 or CA3130.

    1. Just indicators for the anode legs for the LEDs.

  6. i build this twice. as is the name is misleading since there is not a whole lot of bass, but ! if we apply the changes suggested by the build guide/schematic we get a very nice bassy overdrive that is worthy of the name!
    " for a more extreme bass boost, build using these values;
     R8(47k) = 68k,
     R12(68k) = 100k,
     R13(2.2k)=1k,
     C6(220pf)=4.7n,
     C9(68nf)=22n,
     C14(22uf)=47u. "

    i like this layout much much more with those changes. as is it is nice for guitar ( imo )
