Yerasov 7000V Modern High Gain Distortion

  1. I tried to track this layout for fun following this schematic: https://www.komitart.ru/uploads/posts/2016-01/1454149451_shema-yerasov-7000-volt.jpg
I found the 1uF is reversed in the right-bottom: the positive should go on the 100k, and the negative on the diodes and the 2.2k.
From Treble 2 the schematic shows swapped the 2.2k and the 10nF, but those are in line, so I guess it's the same, and even fitted better.
The protection reverse polarity diode is across the ground in the schematic, in the layout we have one in line, and I think is even better, also in case of PSU noise problem.
I think we could replace the 200k Gain pot with a 250k, getting just a little of more gain. (I'm not sure, but I'll try a log instead of a linear).

I didn't find any veroboard layout of this high gain distortion pedal, but this seems ok.
Now I can't build it and verify it if everything works ok with no issues.

    1. Thanks for spotting the correct orientation of the 1uF cap.
As you wrote, the order of components doesn't matter as long as there is no connection between them so 10nF and 2,2k ccan be in any order.

I'm with you regarding having the polarity protection diode in series with the current. More effective and can reduce noise issues.

Looking forward to hear how the build working if you decide to build it.
