Ha! I was just about to try and shrink the tagboardeffects layout down by a column to fit on the same piece of vero as a si bender (cause it wouldn't fit across a BB enclosure. Luckily I just checked here. Perfect!
Hi, I have no output. Checked for bridges and the usual subjects. I did notice i put a Diode (D1) backwards and fixed that but im not sure if i blew the diode or not. Any ideas?
Also my LED is always on. Im using a DPDT Stomp switch. Any ideas for that also?
I make it ,, great sound .. similar to green ringer but I think this is better … the green ringer have dry sound but tenacle have smooth and sustain sound … thanx again fuzzhead
Made this one, it works pretty well. Honestly a little more subtle than I would have thought, and has a bit of gain/volume drop but my other green ringer was the same. I have to try running a boost after and seeing how that affects the circuit. But it definitely works

ReplyDeleteRight on! I'm planning to build it as soon as PedalPCB upload the schematic for EQD/Sunn Life pedal which is a Tentacle, Rat and a FET booster...
DeleteYep, I wanna build that too.
DeleteI might be wrong but i think q2 needs flipped so the collector goes to ground.
ReplyDeleteI tried it both ways and it works but if you flip it the octave is sharper and has more volume.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up, I'll update the layout soonish.
DeleteI think the LED+ and the Output (the words on the side) need to move up a row each. No?
ReplyDeleteYep, you are right. Updated.
DeleteThanks! :)

ReplyDeleteJust built this. It's so kooky. I have no idea where you'd use it but it's fun. Pair it with a muff and make a mufftacle?
ReplyDeleteThank you as always

ReplyDeleteI think 9v is connected on the first row and the downside of d3 goes to ground.....
ReplyDeleteI've made this one and it works 👍
DeleteNo, both 9v and Ground is at the right spots.

ReplyDeleteHi! Can someone give me a hint on how to match the transistors in this circuit? Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteNo need for transistor matching. But you D1 and D2 needs to be matched for strongest octave up effect.
DeleteThese are great

Thanks guys! I was wondering if the trannies would make a difference, guess I was wrong ;-). Ian - your tentacle sounds great! Looks even better!
DeleteThank you kindly. (I didn't know about matching the diodes... I'll look harder at them next time🧐😜)
