Like the Rotten Apple, it's based on the IC/Op Amp Muff, but this sounds very squishy and gnarly. The tone control is useful in all settings. I used an MP38A transistor in my build, though I read you can sub it with a lot of things.
This pedal is amazing. Very much a Muff Op Amp sound, but also very different with the Ge transistor. I tried several and ended up using a low-leak AC176, hFe around 175. Thanks for the layout.

ReplyDeleteThis one didn't go well for me I had a lot of high pitched squealing
ReplyDeleteCheck the usual suspects as solder bridges, cuts....you know the story. Built several of these and it is cracking fuzz.
