  1. Howdy. I'm having trouble opening the full Res image on this one.

    1. Hi Ian!
That layout was an "oldie" that I was not too happy with.
So I whipped up a new one...and it is linked to a full res imgae.;-)

Probably true to the original, it has a lot of inherent background hiss, even with very low gain transistors. Bit of a shame because it sounds great. (Albeit quite bright)

    Cheers!

    1. Thanks Ian!. Yes, looking at the schematic, Q1 produced gobs of gain (and possibly noise....). This is sort of related to a Fuzzrite so I suppose it should be quite bright.

  6. A layout for the “Electro Harmonix Satisfaction Plus Fuzz“ would be great, it's based on the Bosstone, but much more versatile.

    1. It's only been out a couple days so not likely there would be a schematic or even gutshots. If you haven't built it yet, you should build the KMA Fuzzly Bear, it's a great sounding Bosstone variant. https://dirtboxlayouts.blogspot.com/2019/06/kma-fuzzly-bear.html

    3. Gotta echo that the KMA Fuzzly Bear is the best Bosstone variant I've tried so far. I included a switch to reverse the order of Q2 as it adds a very usable lower gain mode. Can get all sorts of sounds out of it.
