Built this from the Pedal PCB schematic, 2N5551& BC547A work like a charm in this one, just keep the HFE around 120-150. 2N3397 HFE was 90-180 in the original, so anything 50-150 is perfect for this?
Yes HFE 80-190 seem to be within the golden zone for this circuit. Going to try some 2N2369 and 2N2221 for my build.
Have built this using 2N3416's for q1 and q2, hfe on both at 128. Sounds really good, love it. To be boxed.
