  2. Hmmm, my build has some strange interactions between the two gain controls. Many of the settings when adjusting one of the gain controls will cause a really small useable sweep on the other gain control before extreme gating mutes the signal. Other than that, I can get the gnarly octave up sounds, but I am not able to dial them all the way out. I am not too familiar with the circuit, so I am not sure if that is how it is intended to operate.

    1. I was thinking of giving this a go last night and read your comment and stopped. I looked at the schematic provided. The only anomaly I could spot were 2N5088's annotated instead of the 2N5089's noted above. Maybe the extra gain from the 89's could be creating an issue.

  7. I've seen gutshots of an early version and there were 6 diodes on the board that looked like 1N4148s, not 4. Maybe there was an additional clipping stage that was later eliminated?
