Looks like this one works as I can get some great sounds out of it, but my build is not without a few audio whine problems. Full CW on the Level and Gain sends the circuit into a mess and some combinations with the other controls can create crazy squealing. The bottom led next to the 47 ohm resistor lights up with the input signal and the other two remain dark, I am using a TC1044SCPA in place of the 7660S which I believe is a suitable replacement and it’s not boxed yet which may tame the noise issues. Anyway thanks fuzz head for the awesome layout , I will keep playing around with it .
Finally got around to fixing the layout with the update on D1 orientation. All three leds light with the input signal now. The dampening control gives some extra scope over this plexi style drive. Sounds punchy!
