Hello! I built this but I am having an issue with the amount of distortion. I am getting a small boost and just a hint of gain with everything dimed. My voltages are:
The layout is unverified but check for any solder bridges, components in the right place and the correct values. After that, if you are able, go through the schematic
Those resistors are there to pull down any static DC voltage. It helps prevent your switch from discharging static and making a pop sound.
Flip your build over and shine a flashlight through it and look between the tracks. Even a little extra flux can hide some microscopic solder. Carefully clean it all out with a utility blade. Probably 90% the issue with most strip builds.
Not enough diodes for my liking 😜.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm gonna build one with all red led's. It probably slays though.
DeleteNot a bad sounding pedal at all

I am relatively new to building. I appreciate any help!

DeleteThank you! I have triple checked for any solder bridges and think I'm good. I am working my way through the schematic now.
DeleteI can't find the two 1m resistors on the bottom right of the layout on the schematic. Do these serve a purpose not noted?
