Ok, another monster of a layout...
Here is a delay based on the earliest version of EHX Memory Man (not Deluxe version). The obsolete and super rare SAD1024 BBDs is replaced by a PT2399 and is supposed to share almost the same sonic qualities, i.e. dark and murky. The rest of the audio circuit is pretty much the same as the old vintage units except for some upgrades to the reduce the noise floor. Also there is a voltage doubler with a 15v regulator added to achieve the requierd headroom found in the vintage units.
Schematic, more info and setup guide is avaiable HERE.
you go with everything my brother, thanks for that work, when will you work with the walrus Julia? I hope you didn't bother with my request
ReplyDeleteJulia is pretty close to Boss CE-2...I'll take a look.
DeleteInteresting stuff...
ReplyDeleteYou can tag this one as verified - built it up today and, depending on where you set the delay trimpot, you can almost eliminate the bubbly weirdness that happens when you max a PT2399 - masterful job of Lectric capturing the distinct EQ of the Memory Man. And a wonderful job by you converting the schematic to stripboard!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris!
