900 post. Phew. I think it is time for a couple of weeks break do deal with "outside world" issues.:-o. Will still log in here now and then and eventually upload something if something really interesting shows up.
But here is a cool design from Lastgasp Art traced by Deadend FX, a bitcrucher/tremolo,/ringmod/envelope follower...thing. Schematic is avaiable HERE.
Congrats for your 900 posts, awesome job, cheers.
ReplyDeleteGrats! Thanks for doing an awesome job. You've certainly enriched my pedal collection!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Anders! Your work is amazing! Thank you a lot!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers! Congrats! Enjoy your time away!

ReplyDeleteA solid effort by any measure
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Awesome work and international treasure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the layouts. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your work!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. Much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteVerified. This thing is nuts and is a must for anyone into zany, weird stuff. Its like a stutter trem meets a kinda usable ring mod. I used a 5mm white LED and LDR with great results. The rate pot seems to be backwards, unless they did it that way on purpose.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike! It is now tagged. I'll check the Rate pot connections but it might take a while but it is an easy fix if you want faster rate clockwise.
DeleteAwesome. As always, thanks for posting. I'm loving all this Last Gasp stuff!
DeleteI’ve tried to get this to work but no luck. Does the 22k leg go to the base of Q1? And I’m using 2x 220u caps in parallel for the 470u, but I can’t tell if it connects from ground to D2 or not.
ReplyDeleteThe led lights only when Pixel Rate is below halfway but doesn’t modulate at all. Anybody else encounter this?
Yes the 22k goes to base of q1.
DeleteThe 470u is going into rows L and M.
I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, but the q1 is not modulating the LED and nothing is coming out of the output of the LF398 output. I thought I had a fake IC so I bought from a different supplier that looks different, still no dice:( if it’s verified then it must be user error, I’m just dreading rebuilding from scratch again
DeleteGot this working with a white LED and tayda LDR. Sounds hectic! The only issue is that with the blend at full, it doesn't quite reach unity gain. I fixed this by swapping out R17 for 9.1K and R18 for 18K, now it sounds good :)
ReplyDeleteMight experiment with trying to get it a little less choppy but I'll see.
I got this working, too, but it’s so weird I think working is not the right word. Hooked up an expression pedal, too. Be aware that the range of the Pixel Rate knob is extremely dependent on source voltage. 9v vs. 9.6v affects the range. Wonder why they didn’t use a regulator in this design?
