Hi! Im currently experience problems with the design (not using a veroboard but a perf). I have linked all the components and checked for continuity and everything seems to be fine, but there is no distortion, just the clean signal going through. Is it correct that dist 2&3 are connected in the same place? thanks in advance!

Yes, it is connected to 27nF cap. This is basically a tubescreamer tonecontrol.
Delete27nF to 470ohm to ground....
